Terms of Service

These Terms explain the basic rules for using CVtailor as an early/private-beta CV tailoring SaaS.

1. Service description

CVtailor helps users build a reusable CV/profile, analyze job descriptions, generate job-fit analysis, draft tailored CV and cover letter content, and save application history.

The service is provided as an early/private-beta SaaS product and may change over time.

2. User responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of your CV, profile, job application, and account content.

You must not fabricate credentials, employment history, degrees, certifications, skills, professional experience, or other misleading claims.

You must review AI-generated outputs before using them in any application, recruiter communication, or professional context.

You must not upload content that you do not have the right to use.

You must not upload third-party personal data unless you have a lawful right to do so.

3. AI-generated content disclaimer

AI outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for a specific role, employer, or application process.

The service is an assistive drafting and analysis tool. It does not guarantee interviews, job offers, ATS ranking, recruiter acceptance, employment, or any other outcome.

You are responsible for final decisions, edits, and use of generated content.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Paid plans may renew automatically unless cancelled before renewal.

Payments are handled by Stripe. CVtailor does not directly store full payment card details.

If a billing/account portal is available, you can use it to manage or cancel your subscription.

Cancellation stops future renewal, but does not necessarily refund past charges unless required by law or stated in the refund policy.

[Refund policy to be finalized before public launch.]

5. EU consumer withdrawal right and digital service access

EU consumers may have a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases.

If paid digital service access starts immediately after purchase, you may be asked to expressly consent to immediate access and acknowledge that the withdrawal right may be lost once digital performance begins, where permitted by applicable law.

[Confirm checkout wording/checkbox before public launch if relying on waiver of withdrawal right.]

6. Acceptable use

You must not use the service unlawfully, fraudulently, or to create misleading job applications.

You must not fabricate professional credentials or use the service to misrepresent your qualifications.

You must not scrape, reverse engineer, bypass rate limits or security controls, interfere with the service, or upload malicious content.

7. User content and intellectual property

You retain ownership of the CV/profile, job description, and application content you provide.

You grant CVtailor permission to process your content as needed to provide the service, including analysis, drafting, storage, and application history features.

The application, software, design, brand, and related intellectual property remain owned by the operator or its licensors.

8. Account suspension and termination

Accounts may be suspended or terminated for misuse, fraud, misrepresentation, payment failure, security risk, terms violations, or legal compliance reasons.

9. Limitation of liability

The service is provided as an assistive tool and does not guarantee any employment outcome.

Liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, unless mandatory consumer protection laws provide otherwise.

11. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as the service changes. Users will be informed where appropriate.
